«L’Osservatore Romano (Vaticano) publica que el papiro del supuesto Evangelio de la Esposa de Jesús podría ser Falso»
Alberto Camplani, experto en coptología de la Santa Sede confirma el informe paleográfico sobre el falso papiro del Jesús casado.
El coptólogo italiano Alberto Camplani, un experto de la Santa Sede del Vaticano, graduado en la Universidad de Roma «La Sapienza,» quien recientemente ha declarado ante la prensa sobre la falsificación del papiro del supuesto «Evangelio de La Esposa de Jesús» confirma que es correcto mi informe paleográfico donde demuestro que se trata de una burda falsificación realizada por alguien con un conocimiento deficiente en materia de escritura y gramática copta. Cito sus palabras: «Yes, your analysis is perfect! … in particular about the form of the «ti», the distance between characters and between lines, as you did».

Informe preliminar paleográfico con transcripción y traducción completa al castellano del fragmento de papiro en copto de un supuesto Evangelio desconocido en el que supuestamente Jesús afirma que «María es su esposa».
Ruego al exigente lector que comprenda dos cosas: 1. que se trata tan solo de un mero informe preliminar paleográfico y lexicológico con breves apuntes de crítica interpretativa. 2. el esfuerzo que me ha supuesto haberlo realizado. Hice todo lo posible por mantener un mínimo rigor aceptable, lo suficientemente serio y documentado para que sea medianamente creíble para el lector. Por otro lado, espero que el lector comprenda las dificultades que implican adaptar un estudio tan especializado a un lenguaje sencillo que sea mínimamente entendible por la mayoría de los interesados en este asunto, lo cual hizo que tuviera que re-escribir constantemente casi todo.
Espero que como mínimo les resulte de interés, sino de utilidad. Espero también contar con vuestras opiniones, pensamientos, sugerencias, críticas constructivas, etc. Sólo ruego al culto lector que tales comentarios siempre se hagan en esta misma página, debajo, del artículo.

What a wonderful work ! Have you had access to this papyrus ? A regret, however: nothing – or so little – is said about the “nomen sacrum” – used twice, →2 and →4 – ; the superlinear stroke seems to me to go from the middle of the iota (!) to the middle of the sigma : does this mean something ?
(I think there is a typo in note 5 : IESOUS instead of IHSOUS – both in Spanish and English texts ; an English text I’ve found only this evening ! after suffering so hard the reading of the original Spanish book…)

Yes, It is true, there was a typo in note 5, in the name of Jesus in Coptic characters. We have already fixed it in two versions (English and Spanish). We are very grateful for your good observation.

Georgeos, a typo is no more than a typo ! But what is questioning me is that modern editions of Coptic texts generally can’t join letters with a superlinear stroke “from middle to middle” ; almost scholars think that the forger follow such editions, so what ?

Do not quite understand your point. If I understand You see strange that the author of the text of this papyrus not keep the top line completely covering the two letters of the sacrum name of Jesus?
I do not see much difficulty. The author of this text but worked mainly with modern editions, obviously also consulted some papyrus and probably worried about writing the name of Jesus in a more approximate to how it looked in the papyri. So, with a single bar or line over the two letters, or covered almost two. We can not think that would be stupid not to have consulted a single papyrus. Moreover, in several modern editions the sacred name of Jesus (IC) appears with a single supra-line.

I’m not a specialist at all ; you are. We have here twice the same stroke joining two letters from iota to the middle of sigma (ei, semma) : maybe I’m wrong, and the forger, though following modern editions, knows that it is possible to have such stroke in Coptic, or by chance he has drawn the line in such a way.

Really .. I do not see much problem. We’re talking about just thousandths of a millimeter of difference in a text with lowercase letters. It is very difficult to be too precise to the length of the lines. The form and stroke length are within acceptable for personnel calligraphy. That is why it has not caught the attention of an expert. I do not consider this a determinant point, although it may have some relevance, as you think.
